STANDSTILL Transfer Film introduces a revolutionary method for transferring complex tattoo designs onto the skin with maximum speed and precision. This transparent, flexible film provides a clear advantage over traditional stencil papers by allowing you to work layer by layer with high-definition accuracy. It can be easily repositioned during placement without leaving marks, making it ideal for challenging anatomical areas such as elbows, knees, and the neck.
Because the film is water-soluble, artists should use tattoo ointment during the process and gently dab away excess ink with a paper towel rather than wiping.
Designed as a Complete System
The transfer film is engineered to work seamlessly with STANDSTILL Adhesive Stencil Spray. When combined, they provide a secure, long-lasting hold that prevents stencils from sliding, smudging, or fading on large and highly contoured areas—all without leaving a stiff finish or heavy residue on the skin.
Eco-Friendly & Medical Grade
Tested by experienced tattoo artists, STANDSTILL products are ecological, sustainable, vegan, and hypoallergenic. The film is manufactured in Germany from medical-grade polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), meaning it dissolves entirely during cleanup without leaving behind harmful microplastics.
Versatility & Applications
This system is highly adaptable and ideal for a wide range of styles, including dotwork, geometric patterns, illustrative work, cover-ups, extensions, and large-scale projects. While it is optimized for lining and dotwork, the film can easily be dissolved once the linework is complete, allowing you to proceed with shading or solid color packing.
Application Guide
For optimal results, follow these application steps:
-
Print: Print your design using a standard inkjet printer.
-
Prep: Spray a generous amount of STANDSTILL Adhesive Spray onto clean, dry skin and let it dry for a few seconds.
-
Place: Position the film on the skin, adjusting and repositioning as needed.
-
Activate: Activate the film by lightly spraying it from a distance with a disinfectant spray (a very fine mist nozzle is crucial).
-
Tattoo: Tattoo directly through the film using ointment. Remember to dab away excess ink instead of wiping.
-
Removal: To remove, saturate a paper towel with green soap and distilled water. Place it over the film for 5 seconds, then simply wipe it away.
Manufacturer Tips: * Start by tattooing with light to medium grey wash shades rather than solid black ink.
-
You may need to increase your machine's voltage by 1–2 volts to compensate for the film.
-
It is recommended to practice dotwork first, followed by lining, to get used to the film's texture.
